Start-up of KR C5-2-based robot with iiQKA.OS2
Goal

The goal of the seminar is to acquire the following skills:

  • Installing and cabling the robot controller and robot arm correctly
  • Performing mastering, tool calibration and workpiece calibration with iiQKA.OS2
  • Establishing communication between the robot controller, PLC and robot periphery (e.g. gripper system) by means of start-up and configuration of field bus systems using iiQWorks.Sim
  • Operating and jogging the robot system in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and perform basic programming tasks
Prerequisites

Relevant professional experience in the area of automation technology

    • Using the robot system
  • Jogging the robot system with iiQKA.OS2
  • Installing and wiring the robot system
    • Robot installation
    • Fastening options
    • Loads on the robot
    • Transportation and installation instructions
  • Introduction to the functional principles of the robot system
    • Structure and function of the KR C5-2 or KR C5 micro-2
    • System-specific interfaces
  • Familiarization with the software ecosystem
    • Administering and managing instances via KUKA.DeviceManager
    • Using iiQWorks.Sim as the configuration and start-up environment
    • Using iiQWorks.Cockpit as the management environment
  • Importing applications into iiQWorks.Sim
    • Familiarization with the licensing model
  • Backup and restoration
  • Preparing the system with iiQKA.OS2 for use
    • Robot mastering
    • Tool and base calibration
    • Information about the use of the dress package
  • Basic Robot Programming
    • via iiQWorks.Sim
    • Programming with statements
    • Configuration and use of applications based on the example of iiQKA.GripperControl
  • Familiarization with and configuring the safety configuration via iiQWorks
  • Establishing communication with a higher-level controller
    • based on the example of PROFINET or EtherCAT
  • Integrating subordinate field bus devices via iiQWorks.Sim
    • based on the example of PROFINET or EtherCAT
Completion
  • The course ends with an achievement test
  • A certificate is issued on successful completion of the course
