Update: Programming and start-up of KR C5-2-based Robot with iiQKA.OS2
Goal

The goal of the seminar is to acquire the following skills:

  • Performing mastering, tool calibration and workpiece calibration with iiQKA.OS2
  • Establishing communication between the robot controller, PLC and robot periphery (e.g. gripper system) by means of start-up and configuration of field bus systems using iiQWorks.Sim
  • Operating and jogging the robot system in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and performing programming tasks
Prerequisites
  • Seminar: Start-up of KR C4 / KR C5-based Robot Systems
  • OR seminar: Robot Programming 2, KSS 8.x (KR C4 / KR C5)
  • OR in-depth knowledge of robot start-up or KRL programming (KR C4, KR C5)
Content
  • Familiarization with the KR C5 micro-2, KR C5-2
    • Structure of the new controller generation
    • Network connection and cabling
    • Options and extensions
  • Operating KUKA robots
  • Familiarization with the software ecosystem
    • Administering and managing instances via KUKA.DeviceManager
    • Using iiQWorks.Sim as the configuration and start-up environment
    • Using iiQWorks.Cockpit as the management environment
  • Importing applications into iiQWorks.Sim
    • Familiarization with the licensing model
  • Preparing the system with iiQKA.OS2 for use
    • Familiarization with user-guided robot mastering
    • Calibrating and managing tools and bases via iiQWorks.Sim or the teach pendant
  • Basic Robot Programming
    • via iiQWorks.Sim
    • via the smartPAD pro | KUKA smartPLUG
    • Programming with statements and KRL
  • Familiarization with and configuring the safety configuration via iiQWorks.Sim
  • Establishing communication with a higher-level controller
    • based on the example of PROFINET or EtherCAT
  • Integrating subordinate field bus devices via iiQWorks.Sim
    • based on the example of PROFINET or EtherCAT
Completion
  • The course ends with an achievement test
  • A certificate is issued on successful completion of the course
