Update Commissioning KR C5-2 based robots with iiQKA.OS2
GoalThe goal of the seminar is to acquire the following skills:
  • Install and cable the robot controller and robot arm correctly and expertly
  • Perform mastering, tool calibration and workpiece calibration with iiQKA.OS2
  • Establish communication between the robot controller, PLC and robot periphery (e.g. gripper system) by means of start-up and configuration of field bus systems using iiQWorks.Sim
  • Operate and jog the robot system in accordance with the applicable safety regulations and carry out basic programming tasks
Prerequisites
  • Participation in CONFIG COMM KR C4 KR C5 course
  • OR solid knowledge of robot commissioning (KR C4, KR C5)

  • Introduction to the KR C5 micro-2, KR C5-2
    • Structure of the new controller generation
    • Network connection and cabling
    • Options and extensions
  • Operating KUKA robots
  • Introduction to the software ecosystem
    • Administering and managing instances via the KUKA.DeviceManager
    • Using iiQWorks.Sim as a configuration and commissioning environment
    • Using iiQWorks.Cockpit as a management environment
  • Importing applications into iiQWorks.Sim
    • Become familiar with the licensing model
  • Prepare the system with iiQKA.OS2 for use
    • Become familiar with the user-guided robot mastering
    • Calibrate and manage tools and bases via iiQWorks.Sim or the operating device
  • Fundamentals of program creation
    • via iiQWorks.Sim
    • via the smartPAD pro | KUKA smartPLUG
    • programming with statements (former inline forms)
  • Configuration of the safety configuration via iiQWorks.Sim
  • Establish communication with a higher-level controller
    • using PROFINET or EtherCAT as an example
  • Integrate subordinate fieldbus devices via iiQWorks.Sim
    • using PROFINET or EtherCAT as an example
Completion
  • The course ends with an achievement test
  • A certificate is issued on successful completion of the course
