Goal

The goal of the seminar is to acquire the following skills:

  • Manipulating robots of the KR FORTEC family in compliance with robot safety regulations
  • Diagnosing mechanical failures and fixing them by exchanging components
  • Carrying out preventive mechanical maintenance work
Prerequisites
  • Vocational training in a mechanical trade is useful
  • Safety footwear is a prerequisite for all course participants
Content
  • Proper use of the safety facilities for KUKA industrial robots
  • Operating the robot controller to the extent necessary for putting the robot back into service
  • Jogging
  • Creating test programs
  • Recommissioning a robot (installation, connection, start-up, mastering, test programs)
  • Mode of operation of the individual components of the robot arm
  • Repair instructions and spare parts catalog
  • Locating the possible cause of mechanical faults
  • Correcting mechanical faults by replacing components
  • Replacing components using the proper robot dismantling and assembly procedures
  • Load data determination
  • Preventive maintenance and servicing work
Completion
  • The course ends with an achievement test
  • A certificate is issued on successful completion of the course
